Let's keep it simple, I want to change out my exhaust tips.

I'm in Los Angeles, more specifically Santa Monica. Can someone point me to where I can buy larger tips only and change them out. Local or online?

Thanks.

Other than "'cause they are JDM" what makes these tips better than ones you can buy down at the auto parts store for a tenth of the price?

Not trying to be smart, just really curious. I've modded a lot of US cars, but never really did much to my Toyotas or Hondas in the past.

I agree with you. The $180 is pretty steep. I am probably just going to get some from the auto parts store until I can decided on a cat back system. I am liking the black chrome DC tips right now.

And then from what I understand, I can just remove the current ones myself, and install these. They are held in place by a single removable bolt right? Theres a shop on Lincoln called sport muffler and performance. I will stop by after work today, and see if they have anything.

What's the OD of the exhaust pipe once the original tip is removed? Haven't seen it posted in any of the threads. 1 inch?

Honestly, I got the JDM ones because they do look better than any of the other bolt-on I could find, and since I am not planning to get an exhaust anytime soon, and any other modification for that matter I went ahead and got them for $165 total (Carson is $180 plus USA shipping in my case an extra $16) from japanparts.com. "Because they are JDM" did not even crossed my mind (that is a silly reason but I know some people do it....). I bought two different sets of DC Sports and one set of 3A racing tried them on the car and really IMHO the JDM ones are the ones that look best.

Here are pics:

Edit: I also wanted to add, Agency Power Exhaust note is PURE S E X ! It sounds so freaking good, I sometimes go in and watch the video again.... I am just in a point in my life I cannot be spending money paying a car and also modifying it. But I knew that coming in and I'm extremely happy at the car I bought. Just wanted to make clear that I do LOVE what the aftermarket community is doing and look forward to all the mods and how all of your cars sound/look/perform.

Also consider a lubricating spray or something in case the bolt is locked up in there. I had both my 10mm bolts break and leave me unable to take it off, and this has happened to another member on here.

I'll be drilling the busted bolts out next week but it's annoying.
