I gave up my stage 2 2012 wrx for the frs. no looking back. The steering feel of the frs feels worlds beyond the wrx

If the WRX was all about straight line power, why in the world would they give it AWD? Added weight and more drive train power loss than RWD. Straight line power is a RWD game. |

OP is probably a troll. That said, 09/10 STI, unless it's '10 SE, is gonna be pretty cushy/wobbly. Also, good luck finding one that's unmolested and costs sane money. 2009-10 is the depth of the recession, there are few of those and they cost just a few grand less than a brand-new one.

Talking with the head of the local subie dealer this weekend at Autocross we were talking about the new concept car. He said the final production will have that front bumper but the rest of the car will follow the profile that we have now for the sti. I didn't see pics but could be interesting.

No, you're thinking of the regular WRX. The STI has always had the widebody fenders, while the WRX didn't get them until the 2011 model year, when the STI was offered in a sedan bodystyle as well.

The way I look at it is that the FRS with a turbo at 7 psi and fuel upgrades makes 300whp. That cost 5,000 at most. Frs 25,000 + 5,000= 30,000 approx. sti 09 or 2010 in good condition low mileage is going to cost about 30,000 or 31,000. And it makes 305 at 14.5psi. Same hp less psi required.
I almost did the same think you are doing. I considered a 2010 it was running for 29,000 with 45,000 miles I think. I also looked at a new sti. It is 38,000 at the lowest. I didn't do it because the fa20 is a better block to boost on and that is proven by Crawford performance. The frs is lighter and rwd the sti isn't. That is my two cents from my experience. I want to own an sti one day but I have grown to see I have a sti in potential Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Either a troll or another person that bought a brz it thinking it would be just as fast as a wrx or sti. If you are not a troll call one of the vendors on here, drop 6k on a truck load of goodies and have something different. Or not. Whatever.

I was hoping too. The more swept back lines of the car is certainly not what those spy shots floating around look like.
