Haha, That's true, I guess getting credit applications doesn't mean you have credit. I think it's because we have her in our bank accounts, college funds, etc. so now her name is out there.
Right now I'm using a bank since my options were super limited; in fact, I think it was the only one that accepted my finance application (the dealer sent it out to multiple banks/CU's).

My current plan is to keep paying the payments for 9-12 months and then re-finance with a credit union once my credit has built up.

Yeah, that's definitely an option I was considering for a while but decided I might just hold off to build some credit with the loan payments first.

Anyone know of a race shop in the South Bay? I'm looking for a racing helmet but the closest I could find was The Racer's Line in Concord and they appear to only sell Bell.

@SWP - Not sure about anywhere in the South Bay.

Wine Country Motorsports at Sonoma Raceway (Sears Point) has a good selection of helmets: http://winecountrymotorsports.com

There's also PitStopUSA in the North Bay, but I think they're only open during the week: http://pitstopusa.com

I will say that you have used the word "year" more times in this thread than I expected. I have no idea why I remembered that you said you were going to wait a year but if you had said 12 months I'd probably still be looking for the damn post.

I'm feeling creeped out right now. Someone's been going through my mail.

Found two envelopes completely torn open tonight, and it's likely because both things easily look and feel like something worth stealing but aren't (they wouldn't have known till they tore them open).

I also never received my first car insurance card a couple weeks ago and had to request it sent again.

Guessing someone jacked it.

Need to figure out how the fuck to report this.

Put a note in your mailbox saying "say cheese motherfuckers".

Just report it to the local police and maybe let the post office know as well. If you can, put a lock on the mailbox so they can't get into it?

Called the non-emergency line, police can't do shit. I filed an online complaint with the postal service and will call the postal inspectors tomorrow.

Can't put a lock. It's one of those apartment complex street boxes with 9 or so boxes built in.

Person probably has a master key that can open all of them.

I believe it's a felony to tamper with someone's mail. I'm surprised the post office isn't doing anything more. I already knew the police wouldn't do shiznits since they'll only come out if there is some type of bodily injury or more than $2k is stolen/damaged.

Since it's at the apartment mailbox, tell the post office to replace the locks since it's obvious that someone is opening them with a key.

Maybe rig up an envelope with a razor blade in it so when they tear it open, they cut themselves?

That's a felony to go through your mail. I would reroute your mail for now to somewhere else. You have a post office box? Kinda sucks but there isn't much you can do unless you want to camp outside your mailbox all day lol
