What kind of reactions are you getting in your BRZ?
Figured it would be interesting to hear about what kind of reactions people are getting when they are driving their BRZ, some are bound to be hilarious!
Since I've only driven my car for a day, and only for a few miles I haven't had much happen, but I did get the following: Some middle school kids stopped and took out their phone to get pictures as I drove by Thumbs up from people as I drive by Double takes from people stopped at intersections |

Everywhere I go I'm asked questions about it, including at stop signs and traffic lights by pedestrians and people in other cars. Every time I come out from a movie or shopping at the Spectrum, the valet guys say that there has been a non-stop stream of people checking it out. Seen people taking pictures frequently.
The funniest two things I remember were one guy who was smacked by his wife in their minivan when she was trying to talk to him and he was busy staring at the car, and a guy who leaned halfway (literally) out of his pickup window to try to take a picture as I drove past the other way. |

I was glad to get my car out of the dealer, cuz when I was buying it everyone was eyeing it... In rush hour this morning someone said "nice car." In LA this car isn't so fancy looking so people generally don't care...

1) I get reports from colleagues in the office all day that when they go down to the parking garage there is always at least one person checking out my car. I'd like to install a camera on it so I can see the parade of gawkers all day long.
2) Have also noticed a few double takes from guys driving Porsches. I like to imagine that they are wondering why they paid three times more for their cars. 3) Finally, if someone saw my reaction, they would have to report the ear to ear grin on my face everytime I approach my car and while I drive it. This car is shear joy! |

Ive had my BRZ since May 11th courtesy of a preorder flake out from Carter Subaru in Shoreline, WA. Ive been getting alot of good reactions. Occasionally Ill get some civic reving next to me trying to race or pull on the freeway but i pay them no attention. When my wife drives it people trip out tho lol.

We go out for a dinner and within minutes there are 3-4 guys taking pictures of the car.
Teens in their parents cars finger-pointing, rolling down windows, screaming as if I'm Jim Lovell (Google him) At work, within hours people are on e-mail, discussing the car. Numerous walks to the garage to show the car to different falks. One Porsche owner had his jaw dropped on the floor of his Cayman, at 85 miles per hour. My wife noticed that and could not stop laughing for a while. I'm glad I ordered LoJack now With this level of ecstasy people are treating BRZ as if its a Lambo or Zonda. Crazy. And me, I'm happy to drive this car. But I will tint my windows as soon as custom plates arrive.

I was waiting for the light to turn green (no turn on red) at an intersection, and being at the front of the lane gave everyone who drove by a clear look. One kid taking a turn into the opposite lane of me had his jaws dropped--shocked and amazed at the sight.
One guy in his truck kept pace with me on the highway. He was awestruck but I could not figure out what else he wanted. If he wanted me to roll down my window to ask something, I pass, since I am driving 60mph. Or maybe he was waving. If he did, then I just looked at him without acknowledging since I cannot interpret his gestures. Whatever the case, cars on the road kept pace with me for a little bit. On the other hand, my coworkers love the car. As soon as I parked outside the building, most of my coworkers rushed out to take a look, sit inside, and congratulate me. I just picked up my car today, and while I was taking the test drive I noticed 3 different people take pictures/video on their phone while driving.
Countless people staring, pointing the car out to their significant others. I haven't had anyone stop me yet, but plenty of them seem like they want to say something... The attention from random strangers is unreal |

Pretty much the same as everyone else here, but in addition and somewhat unexpected, thumbs up/nod of approval/devil horns from WRX/STI guys!

"Why am I picking you up...?"
"So what happened to your car?" "Where's your car?" |

I was also parked at Burger King, came back to my car with a friend and a pickup was next to it staring at it. As I got and and started backing up his passenger got out and walked right in front of my car with his head tilted like he was trying to figure out what the heck the car was. I also had a guy yell "nice car!" as I was driving.
I love the attention, it really is a cool experience! |

Reminds me of when I had my Datsun 240Z on the road. Couldn't go a single day without 1 or 2 people complimenting me on it. I'm glad this car gets similar reactions!
