I am looking at Saturday. If I can get a few ppl confirmed from the forums to go that day, I am down. I missed the last one so I really want to go. This would be my first ever track event in any car ever

Having never tracked any car, my only concern is tires. I don't have the money to buy a full set of new tires this weekend, but I can handle the $90 no problem.
Will one track day completely shred my tires? (I know this is a "variable" question, so of course I mean on average do you go through an entire set of tires on one track day)

Most likely beginners do 2 out of 4 sessions as a learning experience, so you're not pushing your car farther then daily driving. So you will only have a half day of real tracking, even then the point is to learn how to be safe and fun, going fast isn't the priority. The two things you should do it change your brake fluid and possibly pads. I did my first event at SOW with stock pads and they were totally fine. I might sign up as a beginner just to relearn everything. |

Chances are you MIGHT go through 10% of the tire, if that, considering it's your first track day. I'll be bringing some extra brake pads in the event that you manage to fade your stock brake pads. |

Does anybody have an extra helmet I could use/borrow for the day (Saturday)? I kinda have a big head as well. :P Or will they have some for rental?
If I can be guaranteed a helmet i'll just sign up now for Saturday :P
