Question about how the sc builds boost. Most people say the heads and rods are most vulnerable when boost is built low and quick. With this sc does it build boost gradually or is more in the middle in the reviews range. Is there any gear and and rpm combo to avoid? Sorry noob here

I would love some clarification on the topic of an aftermarket MAP or MAF - is it needed?

I'm used to older tuner cars which need a bigger MAF or be converted to use a MAP sensor. But I swear I've read it's not a requirement for the Sprintex?

My setup will consist of a S5-210, on straight E85 (not going flex since we have pretty good availability of E85 over here) with a bigger fuel pump and DW 700cc injectors.

This will be tuned on Ecutek. Will my tuner be able to safely tune the car to 250-280 whp on the stock MAP/MAF?

1. STOCK map because of airflow instability issues.

2. Stock MAF works just fine with stock intake or compatible intake.

3. STOCK MAP, stock MAF will work fine.

Ok, thanks for the info! So like a Omni 3-bar MAP should be good then?

Boost is instantaneous, how much of it you get depends on rpm.

Avoid low rpm high load.

My motor loves to knock in the 3000s at 0.3 - 0.45 g/rev (medium load)

No problems high load at 3000, but I never go WOT under 3000, and very rarely under 3500.

ACTUALLY I got that backwards. STOCK MAP. Aftermarket caused airflow issues. Gonna correct my post now.

So example 5 or 6 gear at 60mph that was area even NA the motor would knock. But if your first or second gear... That rpm range and WOT should be avoided

Hah, well then, so I wasn't crazy when I thought I'd read that stock MAP and MAF would work fine..

Yeah most tunes will run off of the MAF because of aforementioned airflow problems in the map area

Personally i use mishimoto radiator with oem oil cooler. Don’t track my car but drive very spirited and temps are never an issue.

Also hear a lot of good things about Jackson dual radiator and oil cooler as well. Just two possible solutions.

I got the OEM cooler with the TB install. But I want to do some track days. I guess I should try with it and and 5w30 oil. If it proves to much I will just byte the bullet and get the Jackson racing dual radiator

I had the oem TB oil cooler from my NA days so decided to see if the mishimoto radiator would help the oil cooler work better as it is way cheaper then JR dual radiator. Feel like so far it’s working. Let us know your oil temps from tracking with he oem cooler.

Also how are your 225/45r17 tires handling the power? I can’t launch at all. If I take off anything over idle I just spin all the way through 1st till 2nd. Maybe I need to change camber and or lower tire pressure in rears.
