what is needed to run tires wider than 275?

seen the guys here run up to 295 on the rear,
basically what modifications needed to do it?
coilovers for sure
fender roll?

i couldnt find any specific thread on how they are able to run up to that wide but if there is a thread or some sort of information can you direct me to it lol

Coilover, Roll and Pull of the fenders. Slight frame modifications up front, Bending of e-brake cable bracket out back, and correct offset wheels. (18x9.5 et 38-40 ish, or 18x10 et40-44ish I think.)

How much power are you running?


What setup do you have now that you're exceeding the available grip you have in the corners?

@Summerwolf Has a good point. If you aren't pushing so much power that you NEED more than a 275, it will only slow you down.

yeah i know that very well, who the h would run 275+ on stock or less than 300-350hp? maybe more?

Yep mostly previous Honda ricers that got into "drifting" after watching F&F Toyko Drift. And either killed a few 240's or couldn't find a Miata nor afford a S2K.
