Its a fix as far as it might stop your chirps but at the same time you are running 2 stroke through your fuel system and you will have to buy a bottle each week.

Ethanol free gas is basically the best fix right now, if you can't get it I would recommend living with the chirps until a real fix comes out.

I worry about the longterm effects 2 stroke oil will have on Catalytic converters and o2 sensors.
And to some extent if it will cause any build up on the direct injectors.

That's why I haven't put it in my tank yet.

I called SOA to report my chirping, and the representative offered to schedule a replacement at my dealer. I asked if they was a new pump design available, to which he replied, "no but their working on one." Asked him to please log my issue so they have a record of it, and to contact me when a new pump is available.

How do you figure? A $3 bottle is 16 ounces, which would last for like 8 fill-ups.

This website should show you if you have any ethanol free gas stations in your area.

This works. My car with just over 13,000 miles, for the first time, started the chirping about three days ago. Yesterday my tank was down to around 1/4 full and I went to a near by Shell station that sells non-ethanol and filled up with 91 as 93 wasn't available. Immediately the chirping was gone.

I got the green dot pump, which was supposed to be a revised pump to fix the chirp, and after about 1,500 miles the chirp came back.

Went to the dealership today to check out my crickets again- replaced the HPFP once already at about 7500mi, i'm currently at 9800mi. The tech said it does not look like there is a permanent fix for this yet. He opened a case for me with Toyota, so I will be waiting for a call back.

I believe it's illegal in Harris county to sell ethanol free gas, actually. Same thing in Travis county.
