I did it all without actually drilling. I just installed the screws/pushpins that had precut holes and then used some 3M double sided mounting adhesive where it would have been drilled. It's been holding strong for around a month now |

It should be drilled to attach the last tab for tightness and mainly to prevent it from moving and etching the paint. After months of temp changes, moisture winter tape would break down.
