It's to protect the seats from the codriver you'll be required to have at all times because the gauges are placed in a terrible location for the driver to be able to see them.

It just looks like a makeshift gauge cluster. Get some 1/8" aluminum plate, a hole saw, and make your own.

BTW, I've found that Rustoleum Satin Black looks incredible on aluminum for stuff like that.

Let this thread die already...

At whatever point someone is allowed to say something, someone will! Otherwise this thread is useless, I don't care about the tacky gauge set up innovative has in their junk box. We know what the kit looks like, all we don't know is the actual performance/dyno numbers are.

I know I was thinking that just a few posts above yours. They wont even get the kit. The ones who are waiting patiently are more likely to.

xd-16's (the gauges that are all over the passanger side of the car) are thin enough to surface mount.. no hole saw needed.. I have two sitting in my garage if anyone wants a good deal

Pretty much yeah. The reality is a ~5 year build up of this car is fairly reasonable for me. So a few more months of development isn't a huge issue, I've got plenty of time.

I'm not in any rush to buy the first thing on the market so I'd rather they produce a solid product than a first attempt and spend a few months revising it to fix people's complaints.

I might get the kit, I have more than enough money to buy it today. I want to wait and see the numbers of it and let that guide my purchasing decision. I just hate that this thread gets updated with crap like:

- Look at this boost gauge
- What hp do you want?
- How is your day?
- Why no dyno yet?

etc...

I just wish it would die until there is something worth posting. I have no problem with the development time, I just get irritated checking this thread a few times a day and seeing nonsense.

I can sympathize with this to a point as I check it every time it's bumped too....

However, I just brush it off if I find nothing of value. I've never understood people that get worked up about folks asking questions that have been asked already (you are not obligated to answer/reply.... there are plenty of us that will help the new guy out or even the not-so-new guy that just hopped into a 100 page thread) OR commenting on something posted by a contributor that may not be exactly ON topic but isn't "ROFLCOPTERBBQpR0NobATEingNONESENSE!!!" (those guys should go to hell but, again, you are not obligated to read every word posted by every member here and then reply).

I'll also never understand why some people go out of their way to post negative shit. They obviously aren't interested in the company or product YET somehow they feel like it is absolutely necessary to play the integral role of the a$$h@t in the conversation.

Anywho.... I do agree with what was just posted despite some earlier frustrated posts from myself. I don't need to do EVERYTHING to my car RIGHT NOW. I'll have it for a long time. I'm ok with a company taking their time for proper R&D....

TL;DR

Maybe next time you could try brevity...?

Are they any good?

Disclaimer, I'm not looking to buy, just curious about the product.

To my knowledge the XD-16s are no longer available and have been out of production for some time. The gauges you see there are similar in style but not the XD-16 functions. I also have a couple XD-16s and am a fan. Been running em for years without failure.
