Nice looking plates.

*How much caster is added?
*Other spring perches for typical spring sizes [2.25", 2.5", etc.] available?
*no graduations for camber change? Are the cars too variable to bother with graduations?
*Spherical bearing; impress me with sweet words. Will it survive a rust-belt winter like Vorshlag's do?

Just to clarify...will these work with the stock struts?

While the overall shape is very similar to our RCE camber plates that we've had for a couple years, there are enough differences that it's okay.

Our RCE plates do lower the car without sacrificing bump travel, whereas these just don't raise the car.

In the end it's good to see another option and these do look like a high quality camber plate.

These make me wish I hadn't gotten the Whiteline Com-C's. Going on 6 months STILL waiting on warranty replacement on those. Rattling from bad geometry without conical upper spring perch washers and deforming rubber from bad bearings....

Do you have upper perches for stock springs, or just for coilovers?

Ours use the stock springs perches for springs and for coilovers you use the perches that the coilovers come with.

so these dont raise-is that the only way how are these different than what Whiteline/Vorschlag-are we to understand this meaning that those designs raise the car?

please clarify
How about the GC or the Hotchkis plates, do those raise the car too?

had no clue one needed to be aware of this! thank you

The whiteline offset top mounts do not raise the car. I don't believe the Ground control camber plates will either. It's the standard camber plate design like this:

The plate sits under the shock tower, and then the bearing housing is below that so everything is farther down. This also results in less bump travel, which, in the case of a coilover setup is generally compensated for with more spring rate.

Regardless of the suspension setup you are using it is better to use a plate like TIC's or RCE's or Ground Control, especially if the car is low.

I think the Whiteline top mounts don't allow for camber adjustment. I have the RCE Yellows on stock struts, and I'm currently adjusting camber up front with the crash bolts. But with my current setup, I really don't have much clearance at all between my Volks and tires and the stock bottom spring perch.

If the crash bolt slips on one side it would probably be BAD. So I've been looking for some way to adjust camber up front that would allow me to use the fixed (non-camber) strut bolts...to gain a little clearance and stability. I don't think there was any option available that could be used with the stock struts and that didn't increase ride height. So it looks like these TIC plates are exactly what I've been looking for!

No, Our camberplates do not raise the car. They actually give back some of the bump travel lost when you lower these cars.

In the pic the green line represents the fender...Now see how we've moved the upper spring seat and strut mounting point further up effectively giving back bump travel lost when lowering your car.

With other mass-produced off shore camberplates that mount flat from the bottom you end up losing valuable stack height and bump travel.

It doesn't appear that you can use these camberplates with stock sized springs or RCE yellows though, right?

I'd really like to know which camber plates besides the Hotchkis and AST work with stock suspension. @Racecomp Engineering

Hi Huehuecoyotl,

Hotchkis Camber Plates do not raise the car. You do not lose any bump travel. This was a major consideration when they designed them. The bearing bucket resides above the strut top surface, but the plate portion is mounted underneath the strut tower. This will allow the customer to use any strut brace as well. Everything made in the USA btw. =)

Cheers,
-Aaron
