For your first event, unless it rains, these work great:

As much as I can't stand the SCCA/WAI events, the lack of enthusiasm of workers at MSCC events is in stark contrast.

They still run at that banked oval at Columbus 151? I remember running there and having to grid/line up on gravel with my Hoosiers, it was terrible. I did set FTD though.

Thanks for the suggestions everyone. I just bought some blue painter's tape at Walmart for Sunday's event.

masking tape like a boss

i used to do magnetic sheets but that was on my old car whose paint i didn't care about

one wrong application of a dusty magentic sheet and you've got some microscratches

Just got a set from Trackdecals.com, great pricing and free shipping even up here to Canada.

They're fairly basic but quite cheap for a 12" magnetic set

I got a set from iZoom a few years ago. They are a little worn down now (my fault).

Keep the magnets somewhere clean - like a manila envelope or stuck to the inside top of your trunk. I left mine in a pile with everything else and they are stained beyond repair.

I get my numbers from a local sign company. They have heavy duty magnetic sheets meant for cars and can make just about anything you want, color and style-wise. They make the numbers with a CAD drafting software and print them out in their shop. Pretty reasonable prices too. They can also do wraps for any other styling you might want; but that gets a little more pricey.

I ordered some new numbers for STX from them. I ordered them like 9PM on the 12th and had them at my door yesterday afternoon the 15th. Great service.
