For example, rotrex's failure rate is lower than the % of stock FA20 that fail. |

I too have blown a header on stock edelbrock pulley, stock exhaust, Delicious tune during a 20 minute session in New Orleans. It wasn't even a particularly hot day. It was however the 3rd track day I had performed on that setup.

Thank you. I think aftermarket companies like to overlook the fact there's a *lot* of blown F/I motors, even with these two kits. Definitely leads to a lot of misinformation.

Oh, my engine didn't blow, just the header welds, sounded terrible. Had to drive it 3 hours home afterwards, no problems.

Ah, I see missed the "header" part. Well that's good news, good luck with your car.

Stock headers dont like being boosted on track. This is a common failure, when you have an experienced driver that's confident enough to keep their foot on the floor.
