That is a sucky place to have a crack :-/

Does the crack extend to the block or is it only in the threaded section? If it's only in the thread you might get away with a thread sealer like loctite 567 or 577 but it will have to seal below where the crack starts.

Building on @Turdinator's idea a thought just occurred to me. There is a nice little shoulder down below the threads. It might be possible to get a good seal between the plug and the case with a fat o-ring or some sort of gasket.

Loctite is a good idea, my only problem with it is the stress you might put on that crack trying to get it unthreaded in the future. But I think the more permanent resolution should be machine shop/welding wizardry

Oring is actually a great idea

I'm concerned about over-tightening especially if the o-ring is used to seal an adapter, not the oem plug. A thick composite washer might fare better.

just spitballing. I would be most tempted to try this before resorting to high craftsmanship.
