Well, just found out for myself that the dayliner extensions do not fit properly.

I wish I would have checked this thread again, but oh well. They are here, they don't fit right, but they're still going on. Screw it!

On the plus side, I have to give a big shoutout to @muckypuppy. Because of your pictures and comments I purchased the STI steering wheel, which fits great with all of the other interior pieces. So thanks for all those pics you threw up!

These subframes are sold only in Japan (I contacted Recaro HQ in Germany and they told me that they aren't TUV/ECE approved so they don't distribute and sale)

https://www.japanparts.com/parts/detail/47725

You'll pay less than import them from Japan....(here we pay almost +30% of VAT and custom fees)
I paid here in Europe both passenger than driver (SAB with sidebag) Eur 2,250.00 and subframes from Japan Yen 58,500.00 (with FedeX sending).
Rebuild cost: eur 600.00 (both).
Importing costs at least twice....

Another mention 'bout tS parts not sold:
this front bumper grille cover...isn't sold such as tS badge and other.

but...

Subaru has this part on sale in Europe, the SEBDCA3600 (front trim chrome), only chrome.

http://www.kiessetz-und-schmidt.de/o...tail&item=6098

You can buy the SEBDCA3600 and repaint with this option colour code: GrimmSpeed Cherry Blossom Paint

is the same profile of chrome.
Thanks for the info. While looking for some place to buy that and try out that idea, I found a brochure with some other interesting pieces I'd like to buy.

How off is it? I would say it fits about 95%+ of the way. Essentially you will have a larger gap on one of the "fins" depending on how you line up the extension. At the same time, the use of the black vinyl included with the kit hides the gap pretty well. You only really see the gap when you're very up close and looking head on. At what I call normal distances (like the pictures above), you tend to look at the car from a down angle which helps even more to hide the gaps. While it sucks it ended up like that, I don't regret doing it. Just be prepared to fiddle with it to get it to a state you're satisfied with.
Sadly, I do see the gap; however, it still looks fantastic!

Did you have to remove the cover+DRLs to install the included black vinyl?

Since I was installing sway bars I thought why not take a pic of the underside.

Decided to postpone installation of the subframe bushings. Didn't realize hat it's a full bushing replacement and not an insert so I'll need a press to push the old ones out and put the new ones in.

All this work is really making me put together a long list for the R. She just sits patiently to have work done to her

Yeah I still did. They're easy to remove anyway so may as well

The German site that's linked is where you would source it from. That's how I got the BRZ carpet mats from the EU accessories catalog

No problem at all mate ! Feels so much nicer doesn't it ? I have actually been lurking on this thread from the first day it was created. Thought it was about time I joined the party.

Btw Omega, are you still looking for tS badge? O.o

You probably know this but I came across a guy that makes them.... obviously not authentic... but they look the same.
(look around for the tS badge, he has photo )

I am interested to see how you go with this. When I tried to get my dealership to install them they told me that they could only get 2 of them installed due to a size difference between front and rear bushings of about 2mm. I think this may be BS but they said they pressed out all 4 and then had to replace 2 of the stock bushes because of this size difference. The service manager at Subaru, and the owner of the suspension specialist shop over the road that they use both told me the same story, so maybe that is the case, but I can't see why this would be the case. To be honest, I am yet to crawl under the car with the calipers and check for myself... was hoping to one day just get the tS rear subframe and reinstall all 4 into that and swap everything over.... Shitty AUD at the moment has put a bit of a halt to importing car goodies from foreign lands lol!
So yeah,it may be an idea to quickly double to check the sizes before pressing out all 4.

Yeah I saw those. If he can get the color closer I wouldn't mind trying it out

Those are actually for another model of the Subarus... I've IM'ed Pete and he said he'll look into the specs of the tS badge respectively off the BRZ.

He'll get back to us! I mentioned the embossed contour is slightly different as it's much sharper with the BRZ tS, and the colour is off.

I guess, now we just have to wait and see.
