Actual Cost Breakdown to Swap Front End of BRZ to FRS

Since we can't get the Japanese configuration stateside, I know that multiple threads have said converting the front end of a BRZ to frs is the more cost effective way to go.

What I haven't seen and haven't been able to find is has anyone done this and what is the real cost. Lot of people are saying it's just swapping the bumpers but the fog light area is distinctly different on the two as well as a few other things that are probably not visible.

Has anyone undertaken this process and know what the real costs are of doing so.

What exactly is the "Japanese configuration?" The only difference I've seen between the FR-S and GT86 is the headlights and you could retrofit the BRZ HID headlights to the FR-S without swapping the bumper.

First I've heard of someone actually wanting the BRZ bumper.

If you want a BRZ front, you could likely find someone with a BRZ to trade with you, then you just need to buy the headlights.

I think he meant the headlights plus all of its interior goodie pieces and options of that in a BRZ Sport-Tech (Limited) model that isn't offered here for the FR-S.

But if he meant all that, then why did he only ask about the parts cost for the exterior pieces?

Correct, though I'm unsure why my post was quoted for your response since I never said they were the same.

I'm starting to think that he might be trying to make a more stripped down version of the BRZ out of a FR-S similar to the base model Japanese BRZ.

Pretty sure he meant FR-S bumper on a BRZ

Maybe he doesn't car about the airbag

You sure about that?

The title of this thread is "Actual Cost Breakdown to Swap Front End of FR-S to BRZ."

PS: I'm not trying to be a **** but just trying to find out exactly what the OP is wanting out of the swap.

My understanding is that the OP would like to know how much it costs to get all the front end of the car (front FR-S bumper, fog light surround, FR-S Blinker delete surround that would also custom fit the LED DRL for the BRZ, etc...) from a BRZ Limited to looking like an FR-S but with all of its BRZ Limited features of course.

There's only multiple threads about what I am talking about, and that's definitely not the FR-S with a BRZ bumper conversion.

And I think the OP meant to say "Swap Front End of FR-S ON to a BRZ."

Maybe, but he says FR-S to BRZ twice (once in the title and once in the thread body).
