Didn't Honda pulled the same shit with the Acura Integra Type-R with red stock seats instead of Recaros thinking the majority fat North Americans won't fit in them?

But Recaro Sportster CS isn't even narrow, the top trim Nissan Juke RS Nismo has them. Probably just being cheap, I wonder what else did they decontent underneath.

I think they just put tS badging everywhere so you guys won't get confused with the WRX STI and then #sadface opening the hood and not seeing a Turbo LMFAO!

Lexus LFA had KYB height adjustable dampers. It looks that it is possible ...

Well, to be fair, the LFA is a supercar. At the price point it better be adjustable.

Seems that TRD coilover setup isn't available for USDM, have a feeling there's something preventing that.

Guys you don't really want the recaro's as it would in my mind a minimum of 5,000 probably closer to 8,000 including wing etc usd to get a package that includes them.

They must have figured we were too smart to spend 8 grand for seats and a wing instead of actual performance.

I'm a little confused about what you're talking about here. The BRZ has a single exhaust. One pipe from the headers to the muffler in the back. Two pipes sticking out of one muffler is not dual exhaust.

Your whole frame of reference for how much these things cost on a manufacturer/supplier level is off by a few orders of magnitude.

Bad wording. It had one pipe sticking out of the muffler and the muffler wasn't positioned in the current position

I guess they made it like this to save more weight, but it had less road clearance.

Anyway, it was just an example that going lighter is not always easy.

Back in the GD chassis Impreza days you could get STI Pink springs and adjustable fixed perch shocks (KYB) and coilovers (also KYB) from your local dealer. Lots of other STI bits too. The springs were pretty good, the shocks and coilovers...not great. I'd be happy with a quality non-adjustable part instead. Little surprised they went with Sachs instead of Bilstein for the tS just based on history but....

MINI had adjustable Bilstein coilovers standard on their GP2 Cooper edition. It would be pretty badass if Subaru would do the same, but I wouldn't expect that anytime soon.

This tS does look very cool. Needs real recaros though.

Ok, find a car with recaro sportster where you get them at cost. Recaro isn't going to be giving a massive discount at 500 sets of seats. The bottom line to me is go look at the extra cost to get a brz equipped with these seats if you are in Japan. Relative to a standard brz not cheap. Anyways when they use these seats in sti's the model is like 15grand over the base msrp. Eg super special edition. So no don't expect to get these seats, won't happen.

Didn't you know that the Recaro seats, full race suspension, turbo, AWD titanium and aluminum bodied version should only cost about $2,000 more than base? The manufacturer doesn't have to pay for extras they are just given them for free.

The 2015 tS was equivalent to $30k USD when it was sold in Japan, which for what was in it was actually pretty well priced. Obviously it'll be much more expensive here with export, shipping, certification, etc.

Can we assume this will arrive as a 2018 model? Anyone have any video footage from Boxerfest?
