yea it's a pretty stubborn clip. I just twisted and pulled until it finally popped out from where it was which resulted in my hand jolting downwards and cutting open on something up in there. I'm still trying to get the damn clip out of the original flasher though to put in the new one. It looks like it just slides out of where it's attached but it's in there pretty good.

Problem solved. The delay bugged the crap out of me too and the tap-turn fixed it and the other features are nice.
