Or better yet, not try to pull to the very front of the space. If you center the 86 in a parking spot there's a good two to three feet on both ends of it within the spot.

I never have understood the desire to pull up as far as possible in a parking space.

I don't know about the others, but I have a tendency to do it when I'm trying to correct a crocked parking job without backing out. I'll have to be careful when I get my FR-S. Maybe it'll make me better at parking. XD

I've done this ever since owning a lowered car. It works great unless the other car is dirty....

I could see that.

I'm one of those folks that has the annoying habit of backing in, mainly because its "recommended" for management types at my job to help set a good example because my company uses a lot of couriers where its required when driving a company vehicle.

but the real reason is because the FR-S is much more aggressive looking from the front

also i try to pull as far up as possible when parking next to another car cuz i don't know how terrible the driver of the other car is. if they're gonna back out in my direction i'd rather give them as much room for error as possible, haha.

Forgot to mention that I did this too. Not a deposit, but I ordered one without ever seeing it, even though I was worried I'd be too tall for it. I've sat in one since though, so it's all good.

I did this too, and also committed to buy a second choice color over the phone without seeing it in person first.

If I could go back, I'd do it all over in a heartbeat. I love my car, down to the color. I'm glad I didn't wait for the Firestorm.
