Make sure you don't allow the top half of the strut to rotate, you will likely ruin the seals and lose strut compression.
Thanks for the advice!

Hello All! Been a while since I posted in here. Looks like the weather has a good effect on the noise/rant/discussions on this thread So, how are the twins holding up so far this winter?

My FR-S is hibernating 4" above ground, while I'm making some simple "mods". All I can think about right now is getting some track time in the summer and just want to be done with the winter already Anybody here, have any idea about the tracks around MSP? The DCTC track looks okay but there's no info on any organized events OR how to rent the track.

And yeah, I remember a few people that were talking about indoor karting this winter, is anybody pursuing it?

The closest "real" track is going to be Brainerd Raceway, which is about 2 hours north of Minneapolis. DCTC is going to be the closest pseudo-track.

You can look for events here.

I believe there should be some PDX events at DCTC coming up. I'll most likely be attending.

I couldn't find anything on the DCTC track except for two events by the BMW doods on 15th-16th feb I've heard the PDX event is worthwhile from a few friends around here. This will be my first event in the U.S though!

And hey @ayau , you still got those CE28Ns with you?

Looks like they haven't posted any summer events yet. I'd check back in mid Feb.

I do still have the CE28Ns. You interested in buying them?

Yeah, I'm most definitely in for the PDX event if it's going to be held! Or heck, I'd even drive a little further to participate in a PDX in another state.

@ayau, just pm'd ya!

If you have any interest in AutoX, I highly recommend the Minnesota Autosports Club Novice School. For like $50, you get a full day of runs with an instructor. You will learn a TON and have a pretty good time.

www.mnautox.com

Registration for their events is through myautoevents.com. Keep an eye out there for a schedule for this summer's events.

http://myautoevents.com/pls/mae/frmC...?psCLUB_ID=103

Also, NF Performance, a smaller local shop, has been hosting 'track days' at DCTC. It's usually pretty cheap and they provide pizza, soda, instructors, help with setting your car up, etc. Great group of very knowledgable local guys. Find them on facebook or mnsubaru.com.

I'm planning on a couple of track days at BIR this summer if time allows - I'm sure I'll see some of you up there!
