Recently, I had a discussion with a relative and high school student regarding window tinting. I did some research.

I don't know if the following was ever posted or discussed before or even if it would be of any significant concern by a driver on the street with Law enforcement but I do hereby post the Michigan Vehicle Code (Excerpt) for the purpose of any future discussion on the subject. So, FWIW.

If anyone needs Rx for tinting due to "severe photosensitivity and sun induced migraines", see your PCP. And just a reminder this wont work for windshield tinting since that is a federal law, although i know many people who still do this. Like ive said, ive had mine tinted for 5 years and the 2 times i got a ticket from the "tough guy, ignoring my Rx, no non-sense" county cops, the judge threw the ticket out. Just make sure you get the script updated every 3 years, the normal Rx lifespan. If anyone needs advice from a doc, let me know.

I don't currently have a PCP so getting the note will be difficult and I have my front sides tinted. My car is back at auto tint city this morning and they will hopefully fix their mistakes today...

Let me know how that goes, I need to setup a time for them to fix my rear window sometime this week.

Wait, what differences? I thought it was exactly the same color.
Maybe one was washed more recently or had some product applied.

I meant the differences in the cars. Having the same color allows you to focus on the actual physical differences a little easier

I wasn't 100% sure they were the same, so I didn't want to overstate myself

Got it fixed today. Talk to Bob he was good. They did a MUCH better job. Nearly flawless this time. The extra time it took to get it done a second time though is a negative.

Hi everyone,

My name is Rob and I work for Toyota Technical Center in Ann Arbor, MI which is Toyota's North American R&D center. I am also part of a group that organizes an internal car show that we've had for the past few years.

For this year, we're looking into inviting some of the public to join us. The show will be on July 26th, participants would bring their car in for the show from 11:00am - 1:30pm, hangout, and get a chance to meet and with Toyota employees (including program chief engineers). Lunch will also be provided.

Please let me know if anybody is interested via PM.

Thanks!
