Cheaper lower bumper guard?
I've been pricing for a guard to protect my FRS front bumper from scraping. Something to keep the road rash from developing, and modular? I see basically there's carbon fiber high price which is expensive to replace, or the garage door weather guard made into a cheap stick on type. Can anyone make one out of a medium rubber/hard plastic for up to $100?

Welp, I figure the more stuff you put under there, the lower it makes the bumper ..... and the more likely it is to scrape .......

The skid plates are made from HD polyethylene plastic. If you decide on a lip go with a polyurethane one. |

ghetto style, grab those Quick lips tap it where you want and put screws into them at every corner with a Dewalt drill so they won't fall off because the tap won't stick.

Regarding the skidplates, i've had protektskidplates on my RS1 for about 2 months now and it's protected it from many scrapes and my front lip is the same if not slightly lower than the one posted in this thread. So in regards to protecting my $2K+ front lip, i love my protektskidplates |

In my perspective,,putting a front lip is to help prevent bumper damage @@. Who knows, maybe i will drive more careful when i receive my c west front lip @@. Maybe you are right, i might not know how to drive a lowered car, but i like to drive the way i want @@ I dont like to baby sit my car protecting a "front lip". I think scraping bumper is unevitable to some road. I cant be careful 100% all the time and scare to scrape my front lip. I wouldnt worry about front lip too much because it is easy to replace than a bumper. Last edited by FR-Sky; 04-27-2016 at 08:45 PM. |

Just put some black Monstaliner on it from the crease down and touch up the scrapes as necessary.

This is exactly my plan this summer. I keep well away from curbs and bump stops but every once in a while I tackle a slopped laneway or speed bump jut a tad to fast and lightly scrape the bumper. Boxliner is incredibly tough and easy as hell to touch up. I figured a solid black line would look a whole lot better than orange with black marks.
