Question Difference between bumper part number?

Hi guys,

I'm looking to order a front bumper and grill, but it looks like there are two different part numbers for the same parts in for different territories.

I got these parts/pricing

UK bumper 57702ca270 £333.91 including VAT
US bumper 55702ca280 £174.84 including VAT

And its the same for the front grill too

UK grill 57731CA440 £65.30 including VAT
US grill 57731CA450 £41.65 including VAT

There's quite a dramatic price difference, especially on the bumper.

Anyone know what the differences are? I'm looking to find out if the grill piece is interchangeable between US and UK bumpers.

Thanks guys!

The bumper explanation is easy. UK has headlight washers. US does not. But visually the grilles look the same. But I am sure there is a difference or else the part numbers would be the same

Wonder if the mounting is different for the grill based on the headlight washer bits on the UK one. Could be the explanation.

Headlight washers is the difference. There was a thread about this before a while back.

Gotta ask... Why. You want the washers? I guess it does get messy in NYC.

I don't think it's that he wants the washers. He didn't even know what the extra cost was for till the washers were pointed out.

I'm doing another project, and saw that the bumpers/grill pieces weren't priced equally. I'll likely purchase the UK grill insert to compare with the US one I have rather than buying both bumpers.

Is there a difference in the grill itself? I think they are identical.

From the outside they look visually identical, but for some reason they’re not priced the same. I’m wondering if some hidden tabs in the back of the grill are different to accompany the washer mechanism.

The clips only extend a short distance in so doubt they come close to the washers.
