If I can go 10k+ miles on an oil change with that stuff.... hell yes I'll pay that much for it! More since I'll have to prematurely change it and send to blackstone just to make sure.

Oil additives can burn ruining you cat. That would be my only concern. Race cars don't go more than 1 race without an oil change and they usually don't have cats. Good oil yes sure. Would I run it in a stock 86, prob not.

LOL 20-60 thats friggin gear oil!!

Ten thousand miles is about a year for me. Any time constraints on that?

The one @captain_jack made for the Alpine 8' I am using with my old little Alpine Bridged Sub works great and sounds excellent... now its the going back and forth on upgrading the factory speakers... part of me wants to just leave them alone but every so often one of my songs shows me they are not the best.

I have been thinking about this myself esp. with the new motor going in the Vette and the RX7's Motor... would they give us a discount if we all got together and sent in a few? I would like to do the RX7 twice (oil in it now and oil in it after I run it a little while) and the Vette probably twice as well as I am doing a different variation of the break in since I had the machine shop (Larry's Engine) do everything they felt it needed but some of it obviously what they put in it before that wasn't damaged since well it had less than 5k on it.
I was think 300-350 miles then change (After the initial start up and then change after 50 miles at most).

I tend to change my oil based on 3 things;
In the Vette when the oil indicator light hits 50% if its not Amsoil I change it (I have a new change of Amsoil waiting for it). With Amsoil I go all the way to 100%.
In the FRS I have been talked into the 5000 range but for me that's pushing it. I think when I am done with the free dealer changes I am going to max at 4500.
In the RX7 its 3000 Miles but then its a purpose built run hard toy.
In Chey's G8 3000-4000 miles and it gets a Synthetic Blend.

As for Oil Types... I like Valvaline's Maxlife Synth. Blend (wife's) based off Bob is the Oil Guy Forum Reviews. I have been trying to like Penzoil's Ultra as it also gets great reviews but I just feel weird using it after I regarded it as crap for so many years.
When I talk myself into using Penzoil Ultra it happens but normally its Castrol Synthetic or Amsoil.

Either way felt I would jump in since were talking about multiple topics and I am waiting on a server.

I couldn't say for sure, since 10k miles is about 4 months for me, lol. However Blackstone has shown repeatedly that oil doesn't go bad just sitting around, and the viscosity on the 300V 0w-20 seems resilient enough that 10k miles in a year shouldn't cause any excessive viscosity loss.

@Cross Blackstone gives a discount for prepaid bulk orders (6 or more), that's what I usually get.

About to pull the trigger on a ~$2k aftermarket audio system. Already ordered JBL MS-62C (found a place selling them for $180, as opposed to $300 from crutchfield), and now the debate is what to use for the front 4" speakers: JL 4" 2-ways or something else. Also need to talk to my audio guy about going with the same kind of amps we used in my STI as opposed to the JL 700/5 (which only puts about 75Wrms per speaker channel, and the JBL's are 80Wrms, whereas the speaker amp I'm looking at from pioneer does 4x100, and the 4ch + mono cost about $100 less than the JL 5ch). Going with a JL 8" sub w/ custom trunk box (sealed).

System is going be centered around the Sony XAV 701-HD.

I use Motul 300V 0W-20, but I think Motul 8100 0W-20 would also be a good choice if you want something more affordable (it will probably not hold up to high-temp and high-rev applications as well, but should be more than fine for a stock car)
