Anyone have any thoughts on AMSOIL? Was planning to go with that as it worked wonderfully well in my S2K...

I used RP in my b16, and rb26 with no ill effects afaik. I didn't get my oil analyzed, and changed it excessively frequently though... Most of the oilguys say it's not so hot, but it was reasonably priced, and it easily available in the weights i wanted to run.

edit: that being said, i'll probably be using the oem oil for now until napa has another 3.49/qt sale :P

Go post your STI analysis at IWSTI.com . Compare apples to apples please. Oh wait, you did post this over there.

dude, relax. it's for reference. i'm not sure what RP everyone was running, i just know it wasn't good. most of these owners have never owned a subaru before, so us that have STi's sure as shit will be able to help and guide them along.

Love Amsoil. Ran it for years in many different vehicles. I really don't think you can go wrong with any of the synthetic oils on the market as long as you change filters and keep up regular oil changes.

I'm just trying to stop the myth that all Royal Purple is bad, or that all Mobil1 is bad.

p.s. - Your fuel dilution is killing the viscosity and Flashpoint of the RT6. It sheared to a 30 weight.

I'm running RP in my BRZ right now, and the engine just BLEW UP!!!!

Oh wait, no it didn't, my bad.

RP is fine, all modern oils that meet the manufacturer specs are fine, some better than others, but none are bad.

I may go amsoil with my future changes just cause I can get it a bit cheaper than the RP I bought, but I wouldn't be against Mobil1, Penzoil, or any of the others.

If you are racing, then that makes a bigger difference.

T6 seems to be the fav among the turbo owners. On SF, that's the brand of choice.

Doesn't this forum have rules against trolling? This thread is a really poorly disguised effort. Yet, it is still being fed.

FAIL.

I definitely remember your blitz kitted celica. I thought your name sounded familiar. Nice to see we're on the same team yet again
