Arrow Join us for Gizdich Ranch Pie Run 7 (2019) -- Sat Aug 17, 2019

Wow, I was starting to think about this year's annual Gizdich Ranch Pie Run and it kind of startled me to realize that we've been doing this for 6 years straight now. It has truly become a club tradition and I am very excited and proud to announce...
Gizdich Ranch Pie Run 7 (2019)!

It’s time for our annual drive down to Gizdich Ranch in Watsonville, CA! One of our most popular destinations for some delicious apple pie or other fruit pies. You’ll want to eat a slice there and take a whole pie home with you.

Join us for an annual 86DRIVE tradition, where we get together and do a short backroads cruise before arriving at the Gizdich Ranch where delicious apple and other fruit pies await. A few years ago we had a later start time but we were disappointed by them running out of the crowd favorite Dutch Apple Pie by the time we got there after lunch, so we found that we get better results (more pie!) when we get there earlier in the day. We'll roll out of the meeting point by 8:30AM and get there in the morning to ensure we can get the pies we want. Then we'll be done early and you can still have the rest of the day to do whatever you want!

Saturday, August 17, 2019 @ 8 AM

Meet up point for the drive (8AM):
Chevy's - 5305 Almaden Expy, San Jose, CA 95118

Address for the Gizdich Ranch:
55 Peckham Rd, Watsonville, CA 95076

We'll see you there!

Looking forward to tomorrow's cruise! I was also considering going down to Laguna Seca afterwards to check out the Rolex Motorsports Reunion races there. Let me know if anyone is interested in checking that out.

How was the turnout? We so wanted to go, but it is a bit of a drive for us now.

We had a small but fun turnout of 8 cars or so. The cooler weather was a nice break from the heat wave we had this week, but we were not expecting the mist and rain up on Mt. Madonna! It was still a great drive and of course the pie was fantastic. Thanks to everyone who came out!
