I read the article. Sorry guys, but suspension technology doesn't change so much in 4 years. Only if you decide to change it with another one of a much higher cost (e.g. mono-tube). Base price remains the same, correct? And improvements in torsional rigidity? Current car is already very rigid even with high-performance tires. I'll wait to see the comparison to the current MX-5. Tada-san says, “No comparison … expect the next one will be much better.” I look forward to see ...

If Toyota and Subaru are truly confident they've made substantial improvements, expect to see a press invite to a fly-in test session where the journos will be able to drive the pre-and post-MCR cars side by side - the acid test. If no preview testing is offered...

What I mean is I think basically the BRZ tS version comes from Hideharu Tatsumi (the dude that has been responsible for handling and ride characteristics for Subaru since the first gen Legacy, but now runs STI) like a consulting test bed first, working in tandem with Tetsuya Tada they then would try to replicate characteristics that deems fit for the stock 86/BRZ in the following model year.
