Looks like it was a link to one of our older commercial ads that we have locked up.

Here is the information for future reference.

And I only have the shitty non US spec rear brakes, with TRD pads (that are only marginally more agressive than stock.)

So the only thing I'm left with doing is installing a proportioning valve to reduce rear bias.

Bit disappoint TBH. When they say they work with stock rears, I expected they meant it maintained similar bias.
Just an FYI, you can adjust bias by changing front and rear pad compounds. I do it all the time with Cobalt pads, testing out different bias by adjusting compounds. Went from XR2 F / XR4 R then to XR2 square which gave a bit more rear bias for better rotation under trailbraking, and will be testing a XR1 F / XR2 R combo next.

Yes tried all of that. Even with a very agressive pad in the front, and a TRD blue in the back (which is barely above stock) it still had too much rear bias.

Wow, that's not good.

Did Wilwood explain why this happens, or were you able to figure out why? You would figure a larger front caliper with MORE stopping force being a larger, 6 piston caliper vs. the OEM 2 piston clamp-style, would give MORE front bias, not the oppposite?

Their solution was to tell me to buy the rear set as well.

I don't know the technical reasons what caused the issues, however I believe it has more to do with piston area.

Are there any BBK kits for our platform that are winter safe?

The only one's I've heard of that are not winter "safe" is the AP racing kits. That's due to the fact that there are no seals on the pistons and no coating on the calipers, both of which lead to corrosion issues. Keep them clean and you'll most likely have no problems.

No dust seals isn't exactly uncommon for non street oriented calipers, most if not all wilwoods do not use dust boots either. Talked to a guy with an old looking set of wilwoods at autox yesterday. Said he's used through about 4 salty New England winters, rebuilt once.

I'll be pulling my ap kit for winter.

Oe sti brembos would be winter "safe"and a bbkish upgrade

FWIW after posting in this thread in 2013, i bought the 6 piston front and 4 piston rear wilwood kit. they fit on my 17x9 +45 RPF1 but i had to move the wheel weights inboard because there is about 1.5mm clearance between the barrel of the wheel and the caliper

Why'd you choose Wilwood over Essex? I'm looking now, too, and would love some insight.
