Debating on swapping my winter tire/rims from the Jetta over to the FR-S just to go playing for a bit. So much willpower required right now.
Also if anyone has the stock headunit and would prefer the premium pioneer upgrade PM me and we can work something out, I'm swapping mine out for a custom build setup |

So...completely off topic. Anyone know of a job opening in any kind of automotive field in Edmonton? Currently I'm a department manager at Future Shop, and am looking to get out of the retail/electronics area.

Are you just looking for an apprenticeship position? Most people I know basically started at shitty lube techs and moved up from there.

Anybody can work a car good. Not just mechanics, I just keep it just as a hobby. I learn a new fix everyday. For me to make a profession of it, is less than ideal. Think bout it.
A profession is for you to become greater than the tasks. Be an apprentice for what you like to do best. If you really like a certain field of work, you would subconsciously learn about it. That passion grants you skills beyond just staring out at the bottom. I suggest you pick something you can do already with enough skill and become a master of that thing, the thing you think about most often. |

Will post this again, if anyone wants to upgrade their basic head unit to the premium pioneer one I'm selling mine for less than Scion charges for it. Removed it to mount a tablet in my dash |

Ok I’m really sorry to go off topic, however I have searched everywhere on this forum and can’t seem to find a home for this post. Apologies to the mods and if this needs to be deleted I understand.
I just wanted to pass this information along in the event that anyone is un aware of the recent news or have never heard of this event as this forum is relatively new however I know a lot of people here have also been in the car scene for a long time. I personally would love to see a good turnout of BRZ/FRS’s this year as these 2 vehicle platforms will be a driving market in the aftermarket auto scene for years to come. Beyond.ca is bringing DRIVEN back to Calgary in 2013. Driven is an indoor Aftermarket Car Show. In 2012, over 300 vehicles were on display. Because of Winter Olympic Game trials, Driven takes place earlier this year on May 11th 2013. Note: Due to a sellout of space in 2012, we are not accepting solo entries at this time. Please register with either a car club or exhibitor. If you have any questions by all means please contact info@repmedia.ca, or PM me here. You can also follow the event on twitter or visit the website once it is up if you wish. Driven looks forward to what should be a good turn out this year J www.drivenshow.ca (coming soon) Thanks and once again I apologize if this is the completely wrong area or has broken any of the forum rules and regulations. |

Hey, Im new to the Forum. I am in Edmonton. I picked up my Red FR-S back in July. I have not been on forums in a while. I use to frequent 780tuners alot years ago. I also have a 88 Supra Turbo Targa project car. Which I might sell to Turbo the FRS lol.
Are there any meets in Edmonton? I have only ever seen 2 other FRS since I bought mine..a white one and a blue one. Pretty generic I know! haha. |
