fun roads to drive, SoCal

Hi,

I recently bought a stock 2016 fr-s. I live in SoCal, but was wondering if anyone had some recommendations on favorite back roads for enjoyment. Silverado Canyon, Ortega Highway, & the way to Santa Paula are fun. Hoping to hear about a few more.

Thanks

The road to Big Bear is pretty nice. But you have to choose the date and time to go wisely. Traffic can get annoying since some people don't use the turnouts to let faster traffic by. And even on the passing lanes, some people don't keep right. But get the time to go right and it's a good time.

Azusa Canyon (hwy 39) and Glendora Mountain Road are awesome. GMR even has a road that leads to Mt. Baldy thats awesome too.

1. Glendora Mountain Road - really fun and usually not a bunch of cars. at night there is more traffic as people go up to see the views and Im guessing use it as a make out point thing. Bicycles and motos usually towards the beginning of the day to look out for.

2. Angeles Crest - have done several loops in that area. really fun. usually went early saturday morning (starting around 8am) and didn't come into contact with much vehicle traffic other than other canyon runners and motos so was pretty smooth.

3. Lake Arrowhead - have also done a loop from the 15 freeway at Cajon, take 138 east to Silverwood Lake, then the 18 to Rim Forest, Snow Valley, Fawnskin, then the 38 around the mountain range back to Mentone. really nice drive in the summer (last time I went it was around 103degrees in Corona and high 60's around Arrowhead Lake). as was said before traffic is hit and miss and a lot of people dont use the turn outs but its a great way to kill about 2-4 hours depending on which little side roads you take

Are you talking about the road from Ojai to Santa Paula?

Little Tujunga Canyon right off Osborne exit on the 210 freeway. Same road that Angeles Shooting Range is on.
