Has anyone had an OFT custom E-tune? Chime in

http://www.openflashtablet.com/shop/custom-e-tuning/

OFT can do a remote custom E-tune, has anyone had this done? How is it and how does it stack up to Ecutek or other custom tuning solutions?

All they'll do is scale your MAF, add a little throttle tip-in, adjust vvt, adjust load limits, and add a little timing.

Daily driving and throttle response should be improved dramatically if done right.

All this can be done yourself honestly.

or I'll update shivs map for you. You just gotta email me 60 minutes of data logging lmk brotha

The tuning stuff intimidates me TBH- I won't mess with any of that. But if you'd help me out, that'd be fantastic! I'll take you up on that. Where in Florida are you?

What do you need me to log?

When it comes to tuning the ECU, my tactics include plugging in the tablet, turning the key and waiting 10 minutes.

I like doing the hardware stuff a lot better.

edit- @sroby, dude, you are at 86 posts! Make the next one good!

Luckily, anything you do won't really blow your motor at the N/A power levels once you know what to look for and change.

Located in So Flo, looking to become an ecutek tuner now soon but I'll help you with the basics just pm me.

LOL, that's the hell of it right there! OK, I'll PM you and help to train you in the fine art! I appreciate the help, I tried getting started on this and within about 20 mins I realized I'm in over my head. I'm good with computers in general, but this has less to do with that and more to do with the tuning software which has a high learning curve. TY dude

My pleasure. There's lots of info out there beyond this forum but the guys here did a great job in putting you in the right direction. I wouldn't be where I am now without em.

Why 60 minutes? I thought you needed some pulls to redline on 4th gear.

Well, you see young grasshopper, the 60 minutes is for closed loop fueling tuning. Any error in closed loop will apply to open loop. So I always start with closed loop first than open loop.

I'm surprised e-tuning has not taken off in this platform. Back when I had my Speed3, Cobb Accessports and e-tuning were the norm. No need for spending money on dyno pulls. I had great results only after 4 tune revisions.

Yessir NA is very simple. The stickies will help you with the basics. About 3-4 flashes and you'll be good to go.

Not commenting on @Nah's skillset here at all. Just as a general rule... please don't trust random forum people with your ECU!
