Oil Pressure Gauge

Been looking for a oil pressure gauge. I've actually tried a couple cheapo china ones and they did not read the signal from the pressure sensor at all or correctly. I would love to be able to log oil pressure parallel to my the data being recorded in my OFT, but I dont think it's possible.

Tried this one. looks awesome but it does not pick up the signal from the supplied pressure sensor (single wire): http://www.ebay.com/itm/251584094153...%3AMEBIDX%3AIT

This one look identical, but cost 3 times more: http://www.maperformance.com/product...FRRlfgodaZUIgA

Let's see what you guys are using for oil pressure readings!

I'm using the Shadow Pro Gauge 2 "Perrin" oil pressure gauge. It works great. See my build thread for pics.

Dang... ballers. I was going to cap my budget at $100 for the gauge. Maybe I should spend a bit more.

defi is really nice, but expensive lol. I believe you also need to buy a control module along with a gauge

It depends on version.
I have analog Defi gauges and no controller. Also no data logging.

I'm guessing all the big names line Defi, AEM, and Apexi will have top notch gauges. Gotta pay to play bro

Been using the prosport "jdm" series w/ stepper motor for oil pressure, no issues here, although I have read issues where people got a faulty sender.

I like the pricing and look of the prosport gauges. Since they do have a warranty it shouldn't be too big an issue to replace the sender. I actually made a hookup to test the sensor using compressed air, so I can check it before I install.

STRi manufactures for Defi but is moving out of the US for distribution. A few places are blowing their old stock out: http://www.iagperformance.com/STRI-6...-p/xs6005a.htm

I use VDO on my racecar and the datalogger just reads the analog voltage from the same spot as the gauge.
Then you need to figure out your own conversion coefficients.

I made a gauge pod out of aluminum and installed three 2 1/16" gauges. Oil Pressure, Boost, and Tranny Temp. Mine works really well except it's scary how low oil pressure gets at idle.
