You can't just make something look better anymore? and the owners opinion of what looks better, is the only one that matters.

Painting them only helps to draw attention to the rather feeble looking OEM calipers/disks.. I rather upgrade the pads if I was looking to splash some cash on the brakes..

Look "better"? Yep his is the only one that matters. To him.
I chuckle every single time I see calipers painted red , orange or yellow.
"I just like the colour" "I just wanted to clean them up" "I am not pretending they are something else" Yaaaaa...right.

I thought about paining mine black to blend away behind the back wheels like this picture. I don't see anything wrong with painting them if done properly/not gaudy.
Painting red/yellow/bright colors does attract more attention and does kind of say "look at my painted OEM calipers" though.

going by this mentality, I guess no one should ever paint anything? Those stripes, anything but OEM colors, wraps, painted hoods etc- they are all just screaming "look at me" and are gaudy.

amirite?

Yeah, that pretty much sums it up. It's safe to say anybody wrapping a hood in carbon fiber wrap or painting the calipers red is wanting attention from other fellas. It definitely isn't girls that know what Brembos and carbon fiber is.

I can agree with this. I think the black looks alright. It isn't screaming for attention. It seems more like it's trying to fade from view. And... Everyone has an opinion, this is the internet... It doesn't matter what I think or what others think. You do what you want.

Someday when I make it big, I want to fill a tub with ice cream and lay on it until it's all melted.
