I'm not sure if you could close up the center opening and direct more air into the center through the side-air ducts without killing airflow.

I do like that Toyota is trying to get the production cars to mirror the concepts. I wonder if this is a car to wait on for a gazoo performance version a few years down the line.

I'm kind of hoping the 320bhp is from the lower engine spec. That amount from a straight 6 turbo is pretty bad. Sure it's probably capable of way more, but it's still only a 20hp increase from the car that came out 25 years ago. Even hot hatches like the Focus RS and Type R make that sort of power from the factory these days.

When you put it that way a Focus RS weighs only 200lbs over the supra and has at least 15hp more. That's almost exactly the same power to weight ratio. It's very underwhelming to say the least.

Hopefully it will get a lot of aftermarket support like the twins and requires minimum effort to make decent power (e.g. turbo upgrade, down pipe, tune for +200hp or so). I for one know I won't be able to keep it stock no matter what and hopefully it's a better platform to build power on than the twins.

Would you get a first run car or wait and see if there are any bugs to work out?

First run while they are still rare and eye-catching on the roads

Perfect. That is what I would do as well even though I would know there may be issues. I would gamble that they are small enough I could live with them.

Have you seen it in person? It's gorgeous in pretty much every angle. Really stunning. But the production version remains to be seen.

I hope to god this thing is priced reasonably here in Canada.
If it is, 100% after my BRZ lease this will be my next car.

Thats what im expecting too. Theres definitely going to be a premium to be paid for the BMW engine unfortunately...

If i can land a deal low $500 a month I wont even think twice.
