And to the few post above. The guy claims that it would be 1,000 units a month just for North America.
I think ( just my thoughts) that 1,000 a month would not be sustainable for long. It is a niche car in an already tight category so 12,000 a year seems pretty optimistic even for Toyota. Could see it as worldwide though.

Oh I realize that!

This car could be one of those models where the paradox of the more they sell the less people want it comes into effect though. A good portion of people (not all but a bunch) buying Porsche, Lotus, Aston, etc want them because they are relatively rare and unusual. If they start tripping over one every few feet they lose interest and stop buying which of course brings sales down.

Are the colored mirror caps a European thing? I'm not sure but it just seems so damn off.

I'm waiting till 2021 and I'm either buying this or a Cayman so I can make my BRZ a dedicated track car. I'm not sure which yet, but this is a strong likelihood. I like the look and design and at my heart I'm a Japanese car fanboy.

I too like Japanese cars made in Austria.

Not sure why you would think that. 718 sales are weak to the point that dealerships have been selling them under MSRP for a while. If you look at the numbers they look fine, but not when you consider that the cars are selling under MSRP, which is not something Porsche makes a habit of. When the 981 was in production, rarely were there more than a handful ever on site at my local dealership. The 718s...lots of them just sitting around. What a surprise, nobody wants to pay $80k for a 4 banger. That's also why lightly used 981 GTSs still go for $65-70k.

Toyota has been saying for over a year that annual Supra production (worldwide) won't be that high. 15,000 units or less. So this latest "news" isn't really news.
