Will it be possible to modify the .dev file?

The only thing I use Tuner Pro for is to change LC down to 4000 RPM. It would be handy to be able to modify the .dev file instead of a 93 octane file and a E85. It would only save 2 minutes but just curious!

Think the .dev files are going to be locked. Seem to recall something about locking them helping with carb and some other stuff. I could also see a slight error in .dev tinkering turning into much larger issues so maybe it's not the safest approach even if it saves a little time.

Maps loaded through a .dev file will not be downloadable from the OFT. Only maps files (.bin) that you upload traditionally will be downloadable. However, we are considering the possibility to have LC and FFS functions be adjustable through the OFT itself (not through laptop) so no downloading to laptop would be necessary.

Your OFT won't have preloaded maps since this feature starts to ship now (jan 2, 2014). But I will be posting a tutorial very soon on how to load the file necessary to activate this OFT new function (automatic tune file generation). It's pretty darn cool!
