I bought the car for 14k had it for 32 days and it died I took a lone out to buy the car that's why. Moneys tight right now and there is not a lot in a junk yard right now. I am not asking for money. I just saying if someone out there has a block or a motor I am looking.

Bought a motor a month ago for $2400. It was off a 2016 with 15k miles. if you just want your car to work and you don't care about the milage look in craigslist. If I were you, I would spend a little bit more and get a good engine rather than buying one that will seize a month later. Good luck man

Also why the hell did you take out a loan on a used car?!? Especially one where you knew its engine and chassis didn't have matching VINs?

Under UCC Article 2, if it's sold by a dealer, it has an implied warranty of merchantability, which means the seller guarantees that it's fit for its intended purpose. In this case that would include having a mechanically sound engine.

Some states don't allow a dealer to disclaim that warranty. Even if they put a disclaimer on the vehicle, it's meaningless in those states.

In states where disclaimers are allowed, just putting "as is" on it still isn't enough. The disclaimer has to be prominently posted or communicated so that a reasonably alert buyer would be aware of it. It must specifically state that the warranty of merchantability is being disclaimed, and it has to include the word "merchantability."

Just putting "as is" on it doesn't include that word, so "as is" doesn't actually mean "as is" in that situation. It doesn't mean anything at all.

Note that the implied warranty doesn't apply to individuals, only people in the business of selling cars. If you bought it from a repair shop, that might be a gray area, since if they sell cars periodically they may still be deemed by a court to be in the business of selling cars even if that's not their main source of revenue.

Most likely because he needed transportation and couldn't afford to pay cash for a car.

Don't kick the guy while he's down. I'll line right up to (figuratively) kick the shit out of somebody who makes a bad decision and then blames everybody else for it or thinks he's owed a handout. So far he hasn't done that.
