Has ANYONE had luck with Cusco LCA's ?
Hey guys, I have the Cusco rear LCA's and everyone who has tried to do an alignment for me said they are basically faulty in design for a proper alignment.
Because of the adjusters being so close to the subframe you have to drop the control arm to adjust it. This doesn't make for a proper alignment (unless you do amazing guess work and luck out) as things change when you bolt it back up and roll the car a bit. Tomorrow I need to decide to either sell them and get something that works or keep them - pending I can get some advice on what to do. Help!

I had some techs complain about them being more difficult to align than other LCAs , but ultimately never had problems getting the desired settings.

The shop that installed my cusco LCAs (same place where i purchased them from) had difficulty dialing in the alignment. but i then took my car to a dedicated alignment shop (chris at west end) and he aligned them perfectly with no issues. an alignment specialist shouldn't have a problem.

I'll also vouch for going to a dedicated alignment shop or speed shop that specializes on accurate alignments.
Joe from Firestone doesn't really care about camber and toe settings, in spec is good enough for him.

So what's the trick? I keep getting told that you just can't get tools on the adjusters. I HAVE a good dude for alignments but he gets to work on easy stuff all the time.

There's a few threads on this, but this is how the Cuscos are designed(flawed). A lot of people end up swapping them out because of how irritating it is to dial them in. They can be aligned, its just a PITA.

This is news to me. When I got an alignment, it took a little longer than I expected, but I wasn't told it was a PITA.

It's pretty easily adjusted if properly installed.
That being said, the SPL is easily a superior RLCA for a similar price. |
