Yeah I don't trust it at all. I'm going to use fuelly to get a real idea what it is.

I don't know how fuelly works, but you can google map the route you take to work from your house and just verify that the actual distance is being tracked correctly on your cluster, then at the end of it all and when you go to fill up, record the litre's and do it manually.

This is basically what fuelly is. You really should use it, it has great tracking and analysis.

I did that initially and that is how I got the 250km/tank figure but that didn't account for other tiny trips like if I left for lunch or grocery shopping etc which are very difficult to math out.

I only have the first fill up on fuelly so far but you enter your current ODO and the amount of fuel you filled with and it takes care of the rest of the math for MPG. There is also other information to enter too like fuel costs and location you were at when filling that it can keep track of.
