I drive it once every few weeks, if the weather is nice.
Mostly it just sits around collecting dust so I need to wash it before I drive it and then wash it again when I get back home.

I would love an indoor car cover like a supercar

yes i suppose we are lucky in australia that we have a gas station that carries E85 in a few locations that makes it easy to run the fuel in major cities.

i am attending a trackday at SMSP on feburary the 8th. Its a very fast circuit, and you brake for turn 1 at around 240kph.
I might get some new pads before then if they can come from the USA in time.

I will have a detailed report on the 9th for you. check back then.

Here is a video from the track, with a quick lap for a fast car. (not the best lap, since he slows to like 155 for the first turn, and i went through the first turn at 162 in my 86 when it was NA. )

[ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x5O-Kx55FiY"]Sydney Motorsport Park GP Circuit 1m 46.7 - YouTube[/ame]

this is the lap record for a "car"... i think i have watched a turbo ferrari F1 car do a 1:15..
[ame="https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RYHVPsWxHWU"]Fastest Lap 2017 World Time Attack - MCA S13 Silvia 1:20.9 in 4K - YouTube[/ame]

why not.. have some old trackday videos. same track.

I dont know how to edit video, so here are the 1 minute clips from my dash cam, from back in 2013.

the cars only mods are MCA red/blue coilovers, 17x9 RPF1 AD08R, ferodo DS2500 brake pads and a kickass wheel alignment and corner balance setup.
the circuit is an expanded brabham circuit at SMSP, the laptime was i think 2:20, which is reasonable. i was happy with my performance that day, but of course i could always do better.

update: i missed a trackday this month due to an unfortunate discovery. that my DSS 600HP axle had an issue that it was not being retained by its c-clip under load.

The lovely people at DriveshaftShop have sent me a replacement inner axle to replace my naughty one.

I noticed this because the diff had a slight leak, so i replaced the whole diff too, just to be sure that i wasnt running any damaged components.

Here is a photo from the trackday i did last week.
I had a good evening , but it did expose some problems with the car, the axle above ^ was damaged and the rubber boot in the photo received a little cut in it during installation.
this spewed grease all over the inside of my rear left wheel and the other suspension components in the area when i was at the track. it is getting replaced today. some other issues came up like the oil cooler not being enough for sustained track action in its current location. i will have to move it over to the right side foglight and remove the foglight so it can get its own cool air. (its sitting in the middle behind the IC).
i had some issues with my clutch pedal position and also my brake calipers leaking due to some slightly loose bleed nipples.

i am heading to the track next week so i will have an updated report and maybe some new photos then

Your car must be a bullet now around SMP. Out of curiosity, I'm heading to the Vsport twilight event on the 21st. Is that the one you are going to?

Also, how are the new RS4s. What is your opinion compared to the AD08Rs you run before. I am currently on my first set of AD08R. Been really happy on back roads. This will be its first track day.

Also, those glowing brake rotors!!! Great shot!

i was really happy with the RS4 actually, but i never had this level of power when i was on AD08R. but any 245 that can control this car is pretty decent in my opinion. (i will however get 255 next) i was running them at 32 hot,and they were really nice. i dont run as many constant laps with the turbo unlike when i was NA, where i could run 15 laps at a time and then have time to get cranky with the tyres.

Im heading to wakefield next week sorry, not SMSP.

SO i bought the Verus clutch fork, and pivot, i bought the fuel flap, and i am raising the compression ratio from 10:1 to 10.5:1, . retuning the motor for the same power but better off boost response and better idle etc.. should be good . using JE pistons now.
OLD pistons 10:1

new pistons 10.5:1
