Arrow Toyota FT-86 @ VLN : report / pictures

I think it would be wise to start a new thread since the race is over and it isn't easy to follow the other big thread.

I don't know where to start.. so I'll just post 2 things while I'll upload my pictures.

200ps (race spec, maybe also OEM spec?)
1100kg (race spec)

Their truck.. the license plates tell me something. This truck belongs to TTE (Toyota Team Europe) which is the European division of TRD.

Back in the trailer you'll find numerous computers and camera's, gathering all sorts of data.

Back into the pitbox.. we see a few things. Notebooks with funny things written on them for example.

Pitstop pictures and during the race being Red flagged :

Brake ducting, the ghetto way :

Various pics :

According to the race report, it seems like it finished 3rd place in class SP3. Congrats

I had a video camera, but honestly it was of no use. You have to imagine 10 911 GT3 Cup cars and 5 Merc SLS's and some very VERY loud Clio's running by.. and then a very silent FT86 with stock exhausts.. you wouldn't even hear it. As the race was getting restarted I was standing right next to the FT86, all cars were firing up their engines.. I started filming and then somewhere very far away I heard the FT86 engine waking up.. it's very quiet haha.

Oh by the way : Same tyres on all corners. BBS wheels.

Nice info Michel. How did it do on the corners if I may ask? :>

It was looking good through the corners. Not too much roll and a nice speed. You have to put things into perspective though. It was their first race. A race is something different then running a few laps on an empty track. They have no experience with the car's settings. It WILL be faster some time soon. It was the same with the LF-A when they first started racing it during VLN races.

I think the best thing about Gazoo racing the FT86 is the fact that the person who's gonna buy one of these won't have to worry about things breaking down and falling apart when they're attending a trackday.

I'm glad they are going through this much testing to get everything perfect for this car. Makes me even more pumped to get my hands on it.

And 1100kg would be awesome

1100 kg and 200 PS -> 5,5 kg/PS

Not bad if it come out this way in stock form. Anyway I'm getting Crossworth engine kit if it comes out.
