Ya. The trailer and the angle give a very wonky perspective.

I agree about the mentality, but times are changing. If a Ford Mustang no longer comes with a V6, and both the Mustang and Camaro can potentially be paired with a turbo four cylinder, then the US getting a 4 cylinder turbo Supra is definitely reasonable.

I also disagree because there are many examples of JDM and Euro cars that came to the US with a smaller or less powerful engine, or we didn't get the big engine or sportier model at all. This is especially true of sports cars like how we didn't get the Silvia or the Civic Type R, or how we got a less powerful version of the E36 M3. It is entirely possible we don't get the more powerful Supra.

All I am saying is that it is impossible to make a conjecture either way with the available information. At this point, anything seems plausible. We will just have to see.

but times have also change with EU emission laws. hence why the US got the more powerful 382hp Z4, all while the EU is stuck with the 335hp version.

Good point. That could trump most other deciding factors.
