There will always be that certain percentage of any population. It's when those views are imposed on others through law that I get particularly offended.

Those same people likely live in pretty small bubbles and don't do any hands-on work of their own, IMO.

Oooh... Been there and done that. We hunted houses for a long while.
They divided neatly into two distinct categories:
1. Houses we liked.
2. Houses we could afford.

Good luck! Take your time.

They made the list... but they're not really organized as I wish (or I'm just OCD?) So I've re-organized it and made it better. We've sent that list and hopefully he can make an apt to see it tomorrow.

OHHHH ichi you missed the point.

They are two DIFFERENT lists.

We LIKE these.

We can actually afford THESE.

The goal is to find one that just barely fits into both lists at the same time.

I knew what he meant. Realtor know our budget, so he doesn't send those houses we LIKE. He only send those house we can AFFORD... unless, I misread it.

Just how he makes the list, it's very confusing to read & bugs me, so I fix em up to make it easier to read for me & fiance.

The reality really sets in when you start going to the properties in person. Houses that look alright on paper and in pictures can turn out to be real disappointments. We turned down two places on smell alone. Both looked really good. One stank of cat piss, apparently it had seeped into the floor boards and walls in every room. The other reeked of mildew. Or do I mean mold? It had had water damage "fixed" with paint and wallpapers.

But if you firm up your car then you will power slide more and probably fry the contact surface between your tire and the road in a single day.

Yeah I know what you mean. We saw one of those yesterday. I couldn't believed how much it was for that sh!thole. Smell was bad, but worse part was repair it needed. Repair alone would of cost as much as the house... well, that's a bit over exaggerating, but it was ridiculous. Realtor was like "Um... in the photo it looked good. I guess, it'll be great fix-upper, when you're done, value will double!" I just laugh and walked out of the house.

The reverse of this is how we got our house so cheap. The owners parents had died and the son moved all their stuff into the one house. The pictures were horrifying. It was packed floor to ceiling with junk and furniture. In order to walk through you had to follow narrow paths. It had been on the market for 2 years since nobody could look past the mess to see just how good it really was. We got it for a song.

My first house was a gut, right to the outside walls. I bought it for what the lot was worth
