BRZ_86_Guy Build Thread

The car as it stands is completely stock except for the exhaust system.
Currently it has a complete Tomei setup from the headers all the way back.
The reason I did the exhaust first (yes its a meme at the moment) is so you're not choking yourself while you're adding more power. Best to make sure the air can get out as the stock system is very restrictive.

It is....loud.

This is the list of completed modifications to the car:

Tomei UEL Headers
Tomei Overpipe
Tomei Frontpipe
Tomei Type60r

This is the list of modifications that I would like to add. This could change

Edelbrock Supercharger - comes with its own intake so no need for CAI.

1000cc injectors (I am well aware this is overkill but I would much rather leave room than need room)
Fuel pump
Stage 1 clutch
Forged Internals

Performance Brakes
Coil overs

Rims/Tires - Looking at a stock sizing for the front and a wider sizing for the back. Front is 17x7.5 and back I'm thinking a 17x9, MAYBE 9.5, depends on the fit without the kit.
245/40R17 Tires.

Pandem widebody kit.

Going with Delicious Tuning for the Tune on the car.

The goal for power is to pull over 400WHP out of the car. I am Canadian so I don't believe access to E85 is possible for me unfortunately so I'd have to pull this power from 94.

I am still doing a lot of research on the parts to determine who I want to be getting the parts from.

This build will take quite some time and I will be updating it semi regularly for anyone who is looking on information about the parts I'm going to be using and anyone interested in the build itself

Update:
Have just placed my order for the Edelbrock supercharger (no tune)

I plan to do the install and get the car dyno tuned

So I just put my car on the dyno. I was a little disappointed in the numbers but I'm thinking that fuel is the leading cause of this.

I run on 91 but I am Canadian and I've heard that we have a lower quality fuel than Americans so we will end up putting out worse numbers.

The car puts out 216WHP with the Edelbrock SC and I got the Stage 1 Edelbrock SC Tune by Delicious Tuning.

I also noticed that the AFR did not get down for quite some time. It runs rich so this is something I'm going to need to look into over the next little bit and I will reevaluate the car soon.

The guys who ran the dyno had a baseline for the stock BRZ and they got 138WHP out of a stock BRZ and I'm getting 216WHP so in comparison, I'm pretty happy with that.

91 octane is definitely playing a part.

Unless I am misreading, you said you have a Delicious stage 1 tune. If it's canned, it's gonna be on the safer side. The car could probably benefit by continuing to fine tune with Delicious.

As you stated, they also had a lower baseline. The more common baseline is around 160-165 for the pre facelift cars. It's the improvement that matters most!

Good stuff, man.

This is most certainly the plan. I’m probably going to get it E-Tuned. They’ve sent me one update which looking at the logs seemed to be very similar.
The guys who have the dyno offered to collaborate with Delicious but I’d end up paying their hourly rate for the dyno time on top of what Delicious is going to charge.

We have some pretty good straight highways here so I shouldn’t have a problem getting a good set of pulls in 3rd.

It feels great. Being able to compare it from stock there is certainly a difference
