Just came across a 3D model online:

http://www.turbosquid.com/3d-models/...d-model/646251

It supports 3ds Max, Cinema 4D, Autodesk FBX, Lightwave, OBJ and 3D studio.

This should serve as an accurate model to make kits and add-ons to the 86. A sample pic of the model is shown below:

basically you start off with a blueprint or reference plates made from images. and work out the shape.

so..all you really need is something like this to get started

if you want to try out 3d modeling..id start with blender or google Sketchup since its free. If you want a powerful 3d rendering tool 3Dsmax is probably the best among the programs..unless you plan on doing animations..then its Maya or nothing.

Ive actually used Sketchup. I need a better PC tho to maintain it after it starts loading up. I've made my own house 3D wise, furnished too. I wouldn't mind learning how to use 3D rendering software, just holding on to see when i can get my self a crazy computer with some 16GB RAM or some 32GB. Saw some i7 with 16GB RAM some top of the line (forgot code number) Nvidia GForce XXXX and other goodies for under 1500k on newegg.

But anyways, thanks Wings for the replies. Can't wait for your aero goodies.
