To clarify, my tune is setup for rev limit at 7600RPM, however, tune has soft rev limit before it that pulls timing and power a bit before 7600. I also have Ecutek racerom so I also have FFS and I primarily use that and shift at about 7200-7400 if I'm on the stretch I can hit over 130MPH. I have the shift light set to about 6500RPM as a peripheral reminder of where in the RPM's I'm at. Generally I have to max at 7200-7400 1-4 to reach 130 on the straight. Shifting at 6800-7k makes me sit in 5th gear harder, or I can do 7400 1-4 and hit 130 a lot easier. I have catless EL headers and carry power through the entire top end. I also don't redline every chance I get. Driving around town and highway shifting by 4k-6k is usually fine for me depending on traffic etc. When I take it to the mountains I usually sit at 5-6k in turns when going fast, but again can cruise at 3-4k it's just not as fun. Gotta carve the curves at max traction for true fun. I also have different wheels tires setup. Stock wheels with Toyo Extensa HP A/S 215/45 that spin for days if I use LC at even 3k rpm. And Enkei RPF1 17x9 +35 wrapped in 245/40 Hankook Ventus V12 Evo2's that LC set to 4k rpm I still get wheel spin for a second or 2, and shifting 1-2 @ 7k rpm I'll get a little traction loss because i use FFS so it carries the power through instead of letting off the accelerator without FFS.

Anytime I drive the car I hold the traction button down for the 5 seconds to turn off oem fuel cut traction control. It's so dumb. Ecutek BT kit let's you toggle pedal dance track mode anytime you want on your phone in app which is super cool but I haven't tried it yet with hard braking. With no pedal dance I can hit 100mph and fully apply the brakes without abs kicking in. Only time I've had abs kick in is in the snow and wet enough roads.

Even with the long press trac off, there is still some stuff going on in the background. Here is a long thread on it. There are dozens but this is one of the more comprehensive. http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showthread.php?t=34453

Haven’t opened the engine yet. But done just about everything else possible that can be done and everything was pretty easy. Obviously an older car something like a civic, miata, celica, etc.. might be cheaper/easier but as far as newer cars go this is pretty easy and cheap to wrench on.

This chart is good but doesn't mention EBD https://www.ft86club.com/forums/show...75&postcount=1 This still shows VSC with trac off so I don't know how much I trust it https://practicalmotoring.com.au/car...baru-brz-work/
