Transmission, Shifter help please

Hey guys,

After about 2 years of installing the kartboy shifter, my shifter just completely got weird. When I try shifting into first, it goes into reverse without me pulling the reverse lockout. As for when I shift into 2nd, it won’t go in at all.

Now here’s the weird part, I still have 1st and 2nd gear but they’re located right next to 3rd and 4th. So instead of pushing my shifter left and up for 1st or left and down for second, I have to push it SLIGHTLY left and then up FOR 1st or SLIGHTLY left and then down for 2nd instead of ALL THE WAY left and up or down.

I talked to Subaru master tech and he said I installed it wrong so I opened it up and check but nothing looked off. I’m thinking the lockout broke and now I need a new shifter?

I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IT IS.
Can somebody help me?

I have heard that sometimes something in the shifter becomes unhinged.

I'd suggest you look for a loose or missing pieces.

Others will be along with more specific help .....
