They were talking about the WRX 4 piston fixed calipers, not the STI brembos.

I wouldn't bother with the STI brembos either though. They're roughly equivalent to stock in braking power and heat resistance, not worth the cost unless you're doing it totally because you like the look of them.

Is there not a better full face caliper with bracket I can bolt on to the stock rotors and retain stock lines with? Better braking isn't top priority if I do this for her, but I won't do a mod that decreases braking ability either. Something that I can upgrade the lines and rotors later if.I want to. This car will eventually get a turbo kit but probably will never see over 300rwhp and it doesn't need monster breaks with the weight of the car and power well be pushing.

What he said.

The 300z stuff is close but would need to source good calipers, etc, paint them and so on and I don't expect you'll love the look of them.. especially as they said Nissan on them.

I could probably shave the Nissan off with a dremel and sand it down and paint it and put a brembo sticker on it lol... Might never see the Nissan. How would I go about getting all I need for the zx brake swap and how much would it cost? And we're talking front and rear correct

Not the rear I don't believe. Search for it on the forums.

With a limit of $500 your only two options are paint the stocks or get caliper covers. The very last thing you'd ever want to cheap out on is the cars braking system.
