starting to clean it up. went with the STi blue edition button, picked it up at the local dealership and then painted the ring gloss black. now i need to figure out what to do with the shift knob, copper is no longer appealing to me.
interior before: Button: Before/After i'm leaning towards some sort of shade of black, but honestly i don't know for sure, but the copper has to go. |

Might I suggest a black suede shift nob with red 1 2 3 4 5 6 R stiching to match the seats?

Looks amazing! Love the start button re-location. Ever thought of an aftermarket steering wheel?

I love the Voodoo shift knobs by Thompson Automotive. I had em in both my Miatas, my Mustang and now in my BRZ. For our cars they offer crinkle black, piano black, spun silver and pearl silver. It's a simple thread on ball, but they sit lower than most so I don't know if that's something you'll be interested in. http://www.thompson-automotive.com/voodoo.html

Not quite. It's just a ball but it has a recessed lip instead of a protruding lip like yours, so the lock out actually comes up into the bottom of the ball when you shift into reverse. I'll post a picture if you want, in case I didn't really make myself clear.

When you made the 2 dash/radio trim pieces into one piece, did you reinforce the backside of it or just glue it together and bondo it?
