I know, I was loving all the quote Tsuchiya-san was saying.

If you wanna direct translate "無駄が出るFR" then it becomes "FR that has flaw."

He goes on and explains that statement:
"As a human/driver, I wanna enjoy that flaw and don't want any tech/computer to control it. I agree with Tada-san not to bring all those tech in this car. Human/Driver control the machine...."

and he goes on and talk bout how he hate been control by tech/computer, so he owns 2 AE86 plus DD car as NSX Type-R.

Oh and here's another good quote from him
「自分が運転して、自分が楽しめる車」
"Car that you drive and you can enjoy."

Hope that helps

"FR that has a flaw" だと「欠陥のあるFR」にならねえか?

"欠陥" is more like "defect". I was thinking other words like "Weakness", "Waste", & "Uselessness"... but I don't think those words doesn't fully match what Tsuchiya-san was saying.

Maybe "Imperfect" or "Futility"?
